- If you're not at the MMPR office, where are you commonly found? Exploring new tastes around town, making my own new tastes at home or getting lost in a book, TV show or album.
- What's your favorite movie of all time and why? I'm indecisive, it's between Goodfellas, The Godfather or Pulp Fiction. I love crime movies because they encompass a bit of everything that, in my mind, makes a quality film. They are a symphony of drama, humor, style, violence, performance, history, family, and pop culture. Really anything by Scorsese I could watch any day of the week.
- What's your favorite musician/album of all time? I love discovering new sounds but I'm a sucker for the classics. I prefer the Rolling Stones over The Beatles, (I love them both but sometimes The Beatles can lose me with the ballads) and classic soul will always have a place in my life. One album I always go back to is Sam Cooke Live at Harlem Square Club 1963. It's vastly different than Sam Cooke's studio-edited, sugarcoated albums. Live at Harlem Square club is very raw and unpolished; it showcases the true R&B essence of Sam. I highly recommend it.
- What's the one musician/album that never leaves your ipod? Modest Mouse has been a mainstay on my iPod for awhile, especially The Moon & Antarctica. It just evokes happy memories and good feelings.
- What's your favorite food? Besides the conventional choice of chocolate, I love anything made with duck or pork belly. If I find either those on a menu, I'm instantly sold.
- What are 5 things you always seem to have on you (or like to have on you)? iPhone, Orbit Bubblemint Gum, my watch, my Ray Bans and a pen. I always put a pen in my pocket out of habit.
- What is your favorite quote? Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive. - Bugs Bunny
- What's your biggest pet peeve? When people begin a sentence, bring it to a halt, and close it off with "nevermind". You have me hooked and I need to know the last part. It's like ending a movie half way through, it drives me crazy.
- If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be? George Harrison, he was a very fascinating individual. He was so passionate about life, so successful yet so selfless, and encouraged everyone to make the most out of every day.
- What song would be the soundtrack to your life? Satisfaction, The Rolling Stones. I can't get no.
- When you were younger, what did you want to be? I wanted to be an actor or a filmmaker. I've always had a talent for emulating voices and I like to think about being in other people's shoes. I try to look at everything from everyone else's vantage point, not just my own, so that I can understand their perspective. I have a fear of being close-minded.
- What's your favorite MMPR experience?
- Outstanding in the Field was one of my fondest memories with MMPR. For those that aren't familiar, the event is hosted in the middle of a field on a farm, with a long 150 person table. The dinner is literally farm to table, everything comes from the farm in which you are dining. It was held in a town called Winkleman, Arizona which is literally a single block.
- What is the best gift you have ever received? A toolkit from my Grandpa when I was in third grade. It was a legitimate tool kit fashioned in a plastic car shaped box. The plastic car shell is gone, but I'm still using the tools. Thanks Grandpa Chip.
- Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Depends on the day and the shoes.
- What is the best meal you make? Lamb with yogurt and mint sauce, or my homemade marinara.
- What is your ringtone? Ain't too Proud to Beg - Temptations
- What is your favorite day of the week? It was Friday, but Rebecca Black and Katy Perry ruined that.
- What would I find in your refrigerator right now? Orange Juice, Vitamin Water, restaurant leftovers, grapes, Flagship Cheese, thawing chicken, Dos XX and my girlfriend's milk. I don't drink milk.
- What is the last movie you saw? In theaters, Crazy Stupid Love. Not by choice.
- What makes you angry? Unclean bathrooms, speedbumps, slow computers and people that take too long to make a turn.
